Executive Staff

Susan Holman, MSW, President & CEO

Susan has over 25 years experience in not for profit management, fundraising, community relations and public speaking. Since joining the Literacy Council of Bonita Springs as executive director in 2006, she has spearheaded the construction of the new 10,000 square foot headquarters building in Bonita Springs, and presided over the merger of the Bonita Springs organization with the Literacy Volunteers of Lee County. The new organization, Literacy Council Gulf Coast, is believed to be one of the largest in the country devoted to adult and family literacy.

Bob Sorenson, Director of Literacy Services

Bob has been working at the Literacy Council since 2005 as a tutor, tutor trainer and now as Director of Literacy Services. Bob oversees all literacy programs for the Literacy Council throughout Lee County. He enjoys working with our learners to help them improve their lives through literacy.

Kerty Reiterer, Director of Administration

Kerty has over 30 years experience in business management, including opening and managing her own business. Her professional background includes business administration, computer skills, human resources, sales and marketing, finance, and international relations. Kerty has been with the Literacy Council since 2005 and oversees all aspects of administration, including technology, data collection and customer service.

Kathy Anderson,  Moms & Tots® Coordinator

After teaching first and second grade for 30 years in Ohio, Kathy retired and became an English As a Second Language tutor and moved permanently to Southwest Florida. She is one of the developers of the Moms & Tots® Family Literacy Program which began with four moms and their children seven years ago. She continues to coordinate the program, which has grown to eight sites with more than 900 moms and their pre-school children.
